Hello!

We're coming up to the last week of programs here at SGPL but...

We'll be opening up registration on March 8th for our upcoming 4 week session which begins March 21st

Exciting programs include:

Baby Laptime - Thursdays 10:00am
- 30 minutes of songs and rhymes for 0-2 yrs
Little Explorers
- running the same time as Baby Laptime this program for 3-6 yrs is full of stories, crafts and learning about different themes.
Ready,Set...Action!
- Wednesdays 4-5pm for 7-12 years, make movies, stop motion and music at this fun program where the only limit is your imagination!

These are just a few of the programs we offer for FREE here at the library.

Hello all my library friends!

Lots to tell you about today!

Thursday we had our Books & Games program. this is a program for 7-12 year olds to talk about and get creative with their favourite books!

Next week is Dr. Seuss birthday, he would have been we designed some cool posters to celebrate this special day

Once we finished those we worked on some stop motion animation! here are our characters that we will bring to life next week

Well I'm going away for a few days, my nephew is turning 2 and we're going to be having a big Dr. Seuss party!

Happy National Flag Day!

February 15th is National Flag Day here in Canada.
It marks the day in 1965 when our red and white maple leaf flag was first raised over Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and indeed, hundreds of communities across Canada.
Here at the library we have a display to celebrate this proud day, so drop by and help yourself to books all about Canada!

Next week is the start of our new 4 week program sessions!

There's still room to register for awesome programs like "Ready,Set...Action!" where 7-12 yrs get to make movies, animate and sing.

"Little Explorers" for 3-6 where you learn about different themes, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Also our popular favourite "Tales for Tots" returns on Wednesday at 10:00am!

How was your weekend?
I watched the awesome film Dolphin Tale this weekend, a true story of a very special dolphin named "Winter" and her friendship with a young boy after she loses her tail in a crab trap.
It's a wonderful story for the whole family and today I came across the clearwater marine aquarium website where they have a 24hr WinterCam!
